First Jurgen Klopp Transfer Deal? £15m Star To Complete Liverpool Transfer In January

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has been linked with several players while some of the club’s fringe players have also been touted to part ways with the Anfield outfit.

As per a report from the Daily Star [via the Metro], Klopp has given the club the green light to sell out-of-favour midfielder Joe Allen when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The Wales international is attracting interests from Southampton, Stoke and Leicester, and is not in Klopp’s plans at Anfield – with the German tactician preferring the likes of Lucas Leiva, Emra Can and Jordan Henderson.

Allen, 25, was one of Klopp’s predecessor, Brendan Rodgers’ first signing at Liverpool following the Northern Irishman’s move from Swansea. However, the Welshman flopped at Anfield and Rodgers’ failed signing stints continued.

The Carmarthen-born midfielder cost Liverpool £15m back in 2012, but will now likely be allowed an exit on the cheap this January. The Welshman has earned just 8 minutes of Premier League action under Klopp and is considered to be surplus to requirements.

Klopp clinched his first win as boss of Liverpool against Bournemouth in the midweek League Cup clash, with the Anfield club winning 1-0 courtesy Nathaniel Clyne’s goal.

However, the German tactician will be looking to secure his first victory in the Premier League too this afternoon, as he takes his charges to west London where they will face a depleted Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge.
