Following Italian Manager Announcement, Chelsea are Now Favourites to Sign Paul Pogba

Earlier today, reports emerged that Italy national manager Antonio Conte has agreed a deal in principle to join Chelsea in the summer.

Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport broke the news claiming that the former Juventus manager will be moving to West London following the Euro Cup. Following the release of the story, Chelsea have now become favourites to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Betting website Ladbrokes have reported that they have received a flurry of bets on the France international moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer. The price for the 22-year-old moving to Stamford Bridge has been cut down to 7/2. Pogba shares a fantastic working relationship with Conte having worked with him at Juventus.

Ladbrokes spokesman Richard Marsh said: “With Conte’s arrival at Chelsea seemingly imminent, the odds on Pogba making a Premier League return with the Blues have come tumbling down.”

Conte has reportedly held talks with Chelsea officials regarding the finer details of his contract with the club. He is now a favourite to replace Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge ahead of the likes of Massimiliano Allegri and Diego Simeone.
Allegri’s move to Chelsea was recently shot down by his agent. His agent Giovanni Branchini said: “Allegri will stay where he is, he’s happy at Juventus.”
