Four, Not Two Chelsea SUPER Stars To Miss Arsenal Clash

Jose Mourinho led his charges to a comprehensive win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in a Champions league group tie clash at Stamford Bridge last night, and the Portuguese boss revealed he was happy with the win.

But there was bad news for Chelsea fans who had hoped their darling team will be with their full armoury when they tackle Arsenal in a must-win Premier League game on Saturday. The Blues are currently languishing in 17th position in the league after back-to-back defeats against Crystal Palace and Everton, and are hoping the win against the Israeli side on Wednesday evening will spur them to go all out for victory against Arsene Wenger’s side.

However, Mourinho confirmed, after the game yesterday, that the duo of Willian – who opened the goalscoring with a free kick which tricked the Maccabi goalie yesterday – and Pedro will not feature for the Blues against Arsenal. The Brazilian limped off minutes after opening the floodgates of goals for the Blues with a suspected hamstring problem, while Pedro was not even in the squad, as he was already nursing a thigh injury.

“Willian is out for sure, I think Pedro is out for sure,” Mourinho said.

“I prefer problems when players are playing well than problems when players are playing badly.”

The Chelsea boss also confirmed he will only start thinking about player selections the Arsenal game on the next day [Thursday]. There are claims that Mourinho could start youngster Bertrand Traore, who also had a cameo appearance last night, against Arsenal in the absence of Willian and Pedro.

Arsenal – who also slumped to a defeat in Croatia against Dinamo Zagreb – will be looking to inflict another defeat on their London rivals as the two clash this coming weekend.
