A centre-back signing will be one of the priorities for Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Blues have attempted to sign John Stones in the past, and the impending departure of John Terry means that a centre-back will most definitely arrive at Stamford Bridge at the conclusion of the current season.
The Blues are reported to be interested in signing PSG defender Marquinhos. Spanish based newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim that the West London club are set to go head-to-head with Premier League rivals Man Utd for the signing of the Brazilian defender in the summer.
Marquinhos is said to be frustrated with his current playing situation at the Ligue 1 club. He is currently the club’s third-choice centre-back behind compatriots Thiago Silva and David Luiz and is looking for a summer move due to lack of playing opportunities.
La Liga giants Barcelona are also said to be interested in the highly-rated defender.
