Giroud replacement? Arsenal plotting move for this sensational striker

The English Premier League clubs are eyeing top performers in other leagues in a bid to strengthen their squads given the fact the 2015/2016 premier league season is in its last days with just a few matches remaining. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has time and again this season criticised his strikers for not being lethal enough in front of goal a factor that has dealt a big blow to Arsenal’s title race.

Going by reports coming in it seems Wenger is ready to go beyond just criticism of current strikers and their goal scoring form and is already busy identifying potential signings from other leagues. One striker that has caught the eye of the Gunners boss is AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen.

But just what could have led Wenger into being interested in Vincent Janssen? Well, the 21 year who is playing for the first time in the top flight having joined Az Alkmaar from Almere City last summer has had an incredible start in the Eredevisie. Vincent Janssen has gone on to score 26 league goals becoming the top scorer in the Eredevisie.

This is by no means a small achievement for a first timer in the Eredevisie and could be the reason why Arsenal has been monitoring Vincent Janssen a number of times this season.
The Gunners are however not alone in the list of clubs that are following up on Vincent Janssen’s availability. Already, Ajax, PSV, Manchester United, Liverpool and a number of other clubs have all been reported to have interest for Vincent Janssen.

This has compelled AZ manager John van den Brom to express his doubts of AZ Alkmaar’s chances of retaining Vincent Janssen.
