GOOD NEWS – 5ft 7in Spaniard To Sign 5 Years Contract With Arsenal

Jon Toral may not have broken into the Arsenal first team as his compatriot and fellow former La Masia teammate, Hector Bellerin, but his immense talent cannot be denied, especially by those who have been opportune to watch him play since moving to the Gunners 2011. The club, (Arsenal), it would seem are happy with his progress, and are happy to offer him a new contract to ward off interest from prospective clubs who may be interested in signing the youngster.

A recent tweet posted by respected and popular Spanish journalist, Kike Marin, suggests that the former Barca academy player may have extended his stay with the Gunners. Toral, who spent the whole of last season on loan to Brentford, will now hope to continue his development, perhaps, with the Gunners or go out on loan again next season.

The player made 34 appearances for Brentford last season; but it is not known at this time if Wenger would let him go to the same club on loan next season or simply draft him into the first team.

According to Kiko’s tweet, the youngster is set to continue with the Gunners, which could indicate a contract extension:

@Arsenal Rectified: no problem with Jon Toral. It will continue more years at #Arsenal. Good news.”

Toral signed his professional contract with the Gunners in 2012 when he turned 17. The club’s decision to extend his contract is an indication how highly rated the player is among the club’s hierarchy.

Though, no official announcement has been made by the club, we expect that it won’t be long before it becomes official.
