Man United set to sign incredible set piece specialist, club finally agree to sell him

Manchester United can still land their midfield target Bayer Leverkusen’s Hakan Calhanoglu after the club’s president Michael Schade confirmed that they will sell when the right offer for the player comes. Calhanoglu joined Leverkusen in the summer of 2014 and has risen in prominence for the German outfit following his inch perfect set pieces. United are not the only club rooting for the player’s signature, he is reportedly being monitored by Arsenal and a several Premier league club.

Speaking on the possibility of selling the player, Bayer Leverkusen Chief Michael Schade said: “’If one day we can create a world star or first class player and one day he wants to play in one of the best clubs in the world, of course we would sell. Despite completing deals for several midfielders in the summer transfer market, the need for another creative midfielder in United is obvious as Michael Carrick and Bastein Schweinsteiger are getting old.

Likened to his compatriot Mesut Ozil, Calhanoglu is specifically known for his perfect free-kicks and he was admitted that it will be difficult to turn down offers from Barcelona and Manchester United if they come for him. At 21, the youngster will no doubt be a quality addition to United midfield that looks out of shape and lacks a bit of creativity. Calhanoglu can play perfectly behind the striker and create chances for the attacker of United with his passes.
