If you believe reports in the media just before the premier league season closed, Manchester United will be one of the most active clubs in the summer transfer window but the window is now open, and it has been relatively disappoint for the club and their fans. The window has been characterized by stalled bids- like the one involving Real Madrid Star Sergio Ramos, several rejected bids and hijacked deals- most recent of which is Barcelona’s capture of Turkey International, Arda Turan.
However, as the adage, “every cloud has a silver lining” says, there seems to be a glimmer of hope for United to finally make one more successful deal, after the capture of Memphis Depay early on in the transfer window.
Reports according to British media outfit, The Express, state exclusively that contrary to other reports, Manchester United have found a real deal: one free from fears of hijack and rejection, in Everton and England star defender, John Stones.
Reports state that Everton are keen to negotiate with United over the player’s transfer; and are fully optimistic of a move for the player to Old Trafford, and have also allegedly set their sights on his replacement.
Manchester United have found an ideal opportunity to sign the much-needed defender, with Everton reportedly also willing to trade with them. This comes as good music to the ears of the United fans, as the Red devils seem to have awoken from their slumber. It is only a matter of time before a deal is struck and his arrival announced, at the Old trafford.
