Arsenal Are Working Round The Clock To Complete Mega Deal
The January transfer window is set to see Arsenal spend much in an unusual manner as they look at strengthening their squad for the second half of the season. With the majority of the team’s injury woes concentrated on their attack department, Wenger is set to make major changes and has listed Real Madrid’s playmaker, Isco, on his transfer target list for the winter market. The Spain international has been on Wenger’s watch for a while and the Frenchman seems ready to seal a move down by winter or next summer.
Arsenal are said to be readying around £35 million to prize him away from the Santiago Bernabeu, but reports say they might have to pay more as Madrid won’t be willing to let go of him easily. The 23 year-old is also being monitored by Chelsea who are interested in having him at the Stamford Bridge.
Both London clubs will have to do battle for the eventual signature of the young winger if the La Liga giants eventually let him go. Isco has made 12 La Liga appearances this season under the new reign of Benitez and is eventually becoming a first team regular, though the constant rotation of the former Napoli coach still doesn’t afford him much playing time.
Isco wants away from the club and will be willing to move to a club where regular playing time is guaranteed, and he could seal down a starting place in the Arsenal lineup. Wenger isn’t a favourite of the winter transfer window, but the injury predicament beleaguering his squad will leave him with no choice than to shop during the New Year.
