GREAT NEWS – Chelsea To Complete Transfer Of £75,000-A-Week Star, Player Confirms Move Is On

Roma are set to complete a swoop for Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah with reports claiming yesterday he had turned down an offer from Napoli.

The Egyptian winger also gave a hint yesterday by tweeting via his Twitter page: “Be ready to change your profile picture”, in relation to some Chelsea and Fiorentina fans who may have Salah’s photos as their display picture.

Salah was supposed to rejoin Fiorentina on loan this summer, after the Florence club paid Chelsea £700,000, which was in the agreement should the Italian club want him back on loan.

However, the former Basel star turned down Fiorentina personally, and this had led to a scramble for the player with Roma, Inter Milan, Napoli all eyeing his signature.

Now Roma look to have won the race, with sporting director Walter Sabbatini having being in London this week to finalise an agreement with Chelsea, according to reports.

As per Sport Witness, Roma have an agreement in principle with Chelsea for Salah which will see him sign a four year deal with a salary of €3.5 million a season.

The broadsheet went ahead to say the player will initially join the Rome-based club on loan for €2m. Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho had said Salah’s future lies elsewhere and as a result, he dropped the player out of the pre-season tour squad.

Salah’s transfer wrangle needs to be resolve as quick as possible so as not to unsettle the team as they prepare for their Premier League title defence. Mourinho knows this much more than anyone else, and reports have claimed the Portuguese is also growing frustrated that the Egyptian is still at the club.

The boss who claimed yesterday that he does not have any room to accommodate any midfielders also revealed Victor Moses and Bertrand Traore who both spend the 2014-15 season on loan at Stoke and Vitessel respectively are part of his plans for next season. Indeed, Salah’s days at Chelsea are numbered!

That said, it is hoped that the reports from various Italian outfits – that Salah’s move to Roma will be done this weekend – are true.
