GREAT NEWS FOR BLUES – Chelsea To Beat Arsenal To Signing Of WORLD CLASS Attacker

Chelsea are reportedly considering opening transfer negotiations with Napoli for their attacker Jose Callejon.

The Spanish attacker is currently on the watchlist of Tottenham Hotspur and manager Mouricio Pochettino was said to have been told that only a significant offer would be able to convince Napoli to consider entering transfer proceedings with any club thus suggesting that only a huge offer would be able to price him away from the Serie A side. Wenger was also said to be keen on signing the player but it seems Mourinho is using his influence to beat everyone to his signing.

Chelsea have had a quiet summer by their standards with only Radamel Falcao coming in on the back of an unsuccessful loan spell at Manchester United where he only contributed 4 goals.

With French striker, Loic Remy the subject of transfer speculations linking him with an exit from Stamford Bridge. Callejon would be a good replacement for the former QPR striker who played a backup role to first choice starter Diego Costa last season. Remy’s backup role was even threatened as he found himself on the bench as blues legend Didier Drogba was preferred to him in attack when the aforementioned Costa was injured. Remy featured sparingly last season and even had to prove his fitness too often as he struggled with different injuries that hampered his form. Despite his irregular appearances for the side, he still managed to contribute 7 goals to the teams cause.

Loic Remy is not indispensable at Chelsea and with reports linking him to other clubs, he could be on his way out of the club. Jose Callejon spent two years under the guidance of current Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid before they both departed the club in 2013. The manager would be forced to use the history between them as an advantage to lure the Spaniard (who scored 11 goals in 33 Serie A apps) to the blues as Tottenham are gearing up to bid for the player.
