Guus Hiddink Speaks on Future of £145k-a-week Superstar, Striker May Move to China This Month

In regards to reports that Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink and the entire coaching staff have omitted forward Radamel Falcao from their Champions League squad, the striker’s future at Stamford Bridge is now in serious doubt.

The Colombia international has had a miserable time in the English Premier League since moving from Monaco on loan to Manchester United in the summer of 2014, failing to make an impact for the Red Devils as well as his current spell at Stamford Bridge.

Falcao has only played 9 games for the Blues due to injuries and poor form, with many speculating that he may move from Chelsea soon enough.

Hiddink has claimed that the 30-year-old forward will remain on the side-lines for a while because he barely can train with the rest of his teammates.

The Dutch boss, however, is still hopeful Falcao will recover in time to help his side in the last part of the campaign.

Falcao wants to play but he can’t do it yet because he is unable to train. He is currently undergoing treatment,” Hiddink said to Direct TV Sport. “I hope him to be ready at some point because in the Premier League we need all our strikers.”

He has had bad luck this season. He was training and suffered a setback. Then he started training again and suffered another setback. It has been an injury with many setbacks and that was not good for him.”

Recent rumours suggest Falcao could follow team-mate Ramires, Atletico Madrid forward Jackson Martinez and former Shaktar Donetsk superstar Alex Teixeira and move to China Super League.
