Has Manchester United Suffered Yet Another Injury Blow? The Latest Development

Reports making in the rounds around Old Trafford must be cheering to the supporters of Manchester United. Ander Herrera is currently training and could be fit to face Everton at Goodison Park this weekend; this is according to Manchester Evening News.

Herrera has been missing in action for United since they got the better of Liverpool. The Spaniard scored in the 3-1 win over the Kop.

Following the appointment of Louis Van Gaal in the summer of last year, his first signing was the £29 million (fee as per BBC) Atletico Madrid midfielder. But since the inception of this season, Herrera has had unstable appearance for United.

However, Herrera will be looking to establish himself after properly shaking off the injury. According to the report, the 26-year-old Spaniard is back to full training with the first team of Van Gaal.

For Herrera, he will have to slug it out with the likes of Michael Carrick, Bastein Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin in other to get first team action. Herrera has earned two starts this season against the 26 of last term.

Louis Van Gaal has a very robust midfield to choose from and that has kept every player on their toes. Herrera will need to improve and prove his mettle on a consistent basis for him to be fielded constantly.

United will take a trip to Merseyside to face Everton after the international break and they will be looking to bounce back after a shambolic performance that saw Arsenal beat them.
