Hazard Talks About Chelsea Exit

While one Hazard got all the glory and spotlight in Chelsea colours, another Hazard failed to get his chance to prove his worth after patiently waiting and languishing backstage which later led to his departure. This player is none other than Eden Hazard’s junior brother Thorgan Hazard. It is undeniable how much Eden outshone his younger brother Thorgan at the club.

In fairness to Thorgan, he didn’t get the kind of opportunity his brother did but nevertheless the 22 year old was way in the background. It would not be surprising if some Chelsea fans failed to realize that Eden Hazard’s younger brother was at the Bridge at some point in his career. The 22 year old Belgian joined Chelsea from Lens in 2012 just in a short time after his brother moved to London.

However, Thorgan did not enjoy the same fate as his brother and did not register an appearance for Chelsea and eventually left the club in February after several loan spells. His brother on the other hand went on to become a huge hit at the club bagging 49 goals and 49 assists in 179 appearances. When asked about his departure from Chelsea.

Thorgan had this to say “I thought it would be hard at Chelsea, being Eden’s brother,” the 22-year-old told The Times.“It is for this that I stayed only for one month there and then left on loan. I want to go my own way.“Before going to Belgium, I was just the brother of Eden. In Belgium I showed what I can do myself. “Afterwards they did not say they did not say that I was Eden’s brother.” “It is important to be playing,” he told The Sun.”I’m 22 and I need to play and learn.”I am learning a lot with this team. Sometimes it is difficult but in the last two years I have played a lot of games.”
