Hijacked – Louis Van Gaal To Beat Jose Mourinho To Signing Of £40m Rated

Manchester United are looking to raid the Primeira Liga for skillful winger Yacine Brahimi of Porto, this is according to the Express.

The former Granada winger emerged as a January transfer target for Manchester United after putting up impressive cameos for Algeria in the World Cup and he has continued to impress and still is on the radar of the Red Devils.

Brahimi, 25, had a stunning debut season at Porto last term where he scored 12 goals in 43 appearances for the club and has continued in the same stead this season.

His impressive performance this season caught the eye of Chelsea and they are understood to be keeping tabs on him also. He is the player with the most dribbles in the Champions league this term, averaging 8.7 per game.

During the summer, Manchester failed the bolster their attacking line after the departure of Di Maria and they are still on the look out for attacking reinforcements.

United have managed to score two goals in their last four matches as they are lacking a bit of creativity up front. Their defence has been the best in the League so far this season but the attack has been somewhat different.

With the January transfer market beckoning, the Old Trafford landlords are going to be one of the most active clubs.
