“I Am Not Happy” Diego Costa Confirms

Chelsea’s lethal/prolific finisher has lent his voice to himself, saying he must improve when playing for Spain as per AS (via Daily Star).

The former Athletico Madrid forward was the top scorer for former club and brought similar form to Chelsea last season upon his acquisition. He fired the Blues to the Premier League title last season with his 20 goals in 26 appearances.

However, he has been fairly not in form this season as he’s managed to find the back of the net just once in four appearances for club and seem to take same poor form to the international stage for his adopted football country, Spain.

So far, the prolific scorer has managed a goal for Spain in eight appearances since he was handed his international debut last year. The goal came against Luxembourg.

I’ve got a lot to improve and I’ve got to start scoring goals,” said Costa. “There will be no lack of effort on my part.

“I am always filled with ambition whenever I get called for the national team.

“On a personal level I am not happy because I didn’t manage to score tonight although I’m happy with the victory. We’ve gained three points which are important for our qualification.” Costa said.

Costa, 26, have had a poor form for Spain despite being played ahead of the other strikers in Spain. The controversial forward will be looking to proof a point on the international stage to silent his critiques.
