“I Am Not Negotiating With Anyone” Admits Sergio Ramos
Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos has been a subject of transfer speculations recently. Reports from Spain say the Spain international isn’t pleased with the management following the ill treatment of longtime club goalie, Iker Casillas, and he wont be putting pen to paper for a new improved contract.
And it clearly stated that financial benefits wouldn’t be reasons why he would opt to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, as there is a significant rise in wages in the purported new deal the management wants him to sign.
Provided he moves, there are chances that its to Old Trafford, as he has been heavily linked to Manchester United more than any other club for a long while. United have been in need of a solid central back of Ramos’ quality in recent times, and wouldn’t hesitate to snatch him up once he is declared available. However, Ramos himself has come out to deny holding talks with United or any side as per a move away from the La Liga giants. The 29 year-old defender says,
“I’m not negotiating with anyone”
United were said to have approached Madrid with £28.6 million Pounds for his services, but it was rejected, dismissing a possible transfer of the veteran defender. The Red Devils are in need of additions to their squad for next season after having finished 4th at the end of the concluded season. A central defender is a big part of that addition, and a-Ramos’ arrival will definitely help strengthen the team and increase their title chances next season. It isn’t sure what United’s next step of action is concerning getting Ramos or any other experienced and quality defender.
