“I Hope Soon” Manchester United Target Confirms A Deal Can Be Completed Soon

Brazil and former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has revealed that he could be making a transfer in January to Manchester United or Liverpool, per reports. Pato, 26, returned to South America after an injury threatened career with AC Milan. He was loaned to Sao Paulo from Corinthians but on the final year of his contract with the South American side who have said they will not extend his contract.

Following his impressive resurgence, Pato’s club deputy director Eduardo Ferreira has confirmed a probable move for the player. The report according to the express stated that Ferreira told Globo Esporte that; “If a club comes in with an offer of 25 million euros (£17.5 million), we will let him go.”

He has hinted on the clubs currently interested in him including Manchester united but he remained coy on the move to Europe. He was asked of a possible return and he said: “I don’t know, I hope soon.”

Between 08/11 seasons, Pato was in blistering form for the San Siro giant and he will be looking to reignite his career after overcoming his injury vulnerability.

Meanwhile, United only have marquee signing Anthony Martial as the only natural centre forward and Van Gaal is also looking to bolster his relatively impotent attack.
