Mourinho Speaks on Diego Costa Rumours

“I made a mistake, but my relationship with Mourinho is amazing” claims Chelsea man

According to Goal.com, Chelsea striker Diego Costa has admitted that he regrets his actions when Chelsea visited Tottenham at White Hart Lane. “I made a mistake” he said.

Costa was left on the bench for the encounter at White Hart Lane 2 weeks ago and was caught throwing his bib at manager Jose Mourinho after returning from his warm up during the match.

The player admits he made a mistake and now regrets his actions. Speaking to Onda Cero, Costa said “the bib incident is in the past. I made a mistake, but my relationship with Mourinho is amazing, we get on really well. There are things you need to control, but the bib thing was an impulse.”

The 27 year old striker has struggled to find his best form this season, prior to the fixture at White Hart Lane he had not performed up to standards in his manager’s eyes, his movement on the pitch have been appalling that is why he was an unused substitute at White Hart Lane.

Aside the incident, Costa has been spotted arguing with his manager in Chelsea’s Champion’s League game against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Mourinho has calmed speculations of a rift between him and Costa, claiming he and the striker have settled their differences in the dressing room during the half time break.  And now the striker has confirmed that he has an amazing relationship with his manager.

Costa has scored just 4 times this season for Chelsea which is far below the high standards he set the season before.
