This weekend brings another key clash at the top of the Premier League as European and title challengers Liverpool and Chelsea clash.
The current Premier League champions have made a steady start to the season and currently stand with 22 points from 11 games.
However, they are already 9 points behind early runaway leaders Manchester City who have continued to dominate week in week out winning 11 of their 12 fixtures with no losses.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are just one place behind in 5th trailing the champions by 3 points. With this being the case it just shows how big a game this is between the two teams and Liverpool could push themselves into a Champions League place with a victory.
Liverpool have been in good form recently that has included 3-0 wins over both Huddersfield and NK Maribor in Europe. This was followed by a 4-1 thrashing of West Ham and has meant they went into the international break in good form. That said, they lost a three-goal lead against Sevilla this week, suggesting the age-old concerns about their defence remain alive.
With both teams looking like they are progressing through the group stages in the Champions League it just shows the level that the Premier league is at in current times.
