Insiders Believe Manchester United Has COMPLETED Transfer Of £280k-A-Week Star, Announcement Imminent

A year ago, Angel Di Maria was widely considered one of the best players in the world. Having played a crucial role in Real Madrid’s march to the La Decima , and following it up with majestic displays for the Albiceleste , as the Argentines swept all before them en route to the final of the World Cup, Di Maria had cemented his legacy as one of the finest players of his generation. He joined Manchester United for an English record fee of £59.7 million pounds, and was widely touted to be the crowning glory of a resurgent Old Trafford.

Things started very brightly indeed for the superstar winger who just couldn’t stop firing in goals and assists for the Red Devils at the start of the season. However, his form tailed off badly after a while and the decline was so sharp that he found himself watching on from the bench come the end of the season. Playing second fiddle to the likes of Ashley Young was not what the former Real Madrid man had in mind while joining United , and it is a shame that he is forced to waste his immense talent on the bench.

Seemingly unplayable when he is in full flow , Di Maria’s adventurous style of play has been hampered by the cautious tactics of Van Gaal and his confidence was dealt a further blow when the Dutchman preferred to use the limited but tactically flexible Ashley Young ahead of him. Such unprecedented was Di Maria’s decline that he failed to register a single goal for United in 2015.

An alleged break-in and attempted burglary in his £4 million Cheshire mansion has further destabilized his family in Manchester , and the winger has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer, with interest from French Champions Paris Saint-Germain being the most notable one.

And now reports surfacing in several French outlets are claiming that a wide majority in the PSG dressing room believe that their club has reached a deal for Di Maria’s signature with United, and that a formal announcement is expected soon.

RMC Sport had earlier linked PSG with a €65 million swoop for the player, but had also claimed that the Red Devils will only sanction the move if Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani moves the other way round to Old Trafford.

If PSG are able to land the winger, it will be a fresh start for the highly regarded Argentine. PSG fans will be hoping that with a change of environment , he can rediscover the deadly form of 2013/14 season. In truth, even if the player achieves only half of what he achieved in his time at the Los Blancos, it will be money well spent.
