Is Alexis Sanchez Trying To Convince Vidal To Join Arsenal?

Arsenal star, Alexi Sanchez is reportedly trying to woo his teammate in the national team, Arturo Vidal to join the Gunners this summer, according to the Daily Star.

Both players are currently on international duty for their country, where they hope to help Chile win this year’s Copa America, which incidentally is being hosted by their country. Vidal has been linked with a move to the Gunners this transfer window, and a move to the Emirates would boost Arsenal’s midfield next season.

Vidal was involved in a transfer saga last summer, when rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford refused to die down. He is a player much in demand, and not many would be surprised that Sanchez is trying to use his influence as a close pal to convince him to move to England.

Since joining Juventus a couple of seasons ago, Vidal has been one of Juventus’ best players; helping the current Serie A giants to a back-to-back title. His inclusion in any team will definitely be a huge plus.

Arsenal interest in signing a world-class defensive midfielder is well documented, with some top players already being linked with a move to the Emirates this summer. Despite some impressive displays put up by Francis Coquelin last season, the Gunners are in no mood to let this summer pass by without signing a natural box-to-box midfielder.

According to the Daily Star, Vidal would cost the Gunners £21.3 million, which shouldn’t be a difficult amount to pay for the manager.
