Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho is not the type to let any remarks or comments about him or his club slide. The Portuguese Manager has built a reputation for himself over the years as someone that never hesitates to respond to comments made by others against him. The Chelsea manager just recently attacked Rafa Benitez’s wife over comments she made about her husband always cleaning up Jose Mourinho’s mess.
Yet again it is the turn of Manchester United legend to be attacked by the Chelsea boss after his recent comments over John Stones. The former United player advised John Stones to pick Manchester United over Chelsea and called him a lunatic if he was to pick Chelsea over Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho did not waste time in responding to Ferdinand, he was quoted as saying “I don’t speak about players from other clubs when the competition starts in two days but maybe Rio has a contract with Manchester United?” Mourinho “With any player at Chelsea, how much he plays depends on him and not me. “People often talk about the chances we give to young English players and maybe that’s a good excuse for the young players to be where they are. “For the good of English football, you should go the other way and ask if these players are ready to get the chance.“I had this internal discussion at the club the other day. Must the manager give confidence to a player or should the player give confidence to the manager?”.
Everton have rejected Chelsea’s initial first two bids and reports are saying that the Premier League Champions are preparing a third bid for the 21 year old. No official approach has been made by Manchester United yet but things could change in coming days.
