Ivanonic Out? Chelsea Plan Move For £180,000-A-Week UCL Winner

Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho is reportedly bent on bringing Barcelona’s Dani Alves to London and the English Premiership in the January transfer window to solve the raging Right-Back problem in Chelsea right now.

The Blues who have conceded 12 goals in their first 6 games are trying to look for the key to making their defence better and not so easily broken. This season so far has seen Chelsea doing well in some matches but still losing because of silly, schoolboy defensive errors which most times could be blamed on the right-back position. Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic seems to have lost all steam and does not seem to know what to do most times on the field of play. This has left Mourinho with no other option but to look outside and bring in someone who will break into the first team immediately.

Mourinho is said to be ready to pay £15million to bring Dani Alves to the Stamford Bridge. The brazillian player who is adept at playing the right-back position also had 12 assists in all competitions last season for Barcelona.

Although this move cannot be made until January and Mourinho will have to make do till he makes the deal happen. But maybe this news alone could spur Ivanovic to better performances for Chelsea and help Chelsea to climb higher on the league table.

However, it is left to see if Barcelona will be ready to part with Dani Alves come January or if Alves will be ready to leave Barcelona. Especially with him just signing a new two-year contract with Barcelona in June with an option to extend a further year.
