John Stones To Join Manchester United In January

Various reports in the English press are claiming that Manchester United will attempt to give Chelsea a dose of their medicine as will make bid for Chelsea’s prime target of the summer John Stones of Everton.

The tough-tackling defender was the Blues main target for the immediate past summer – Chelsea saw three of their bids for the player rebuffed and it was understood that the player even handed Everton a transfer request but he was declined the opportunity to move.

However, following United inability to land Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Nicolas Ottamendi, with the former extending his contract with Madrid and Ottamendi opting to move to Manchester City, the Red Devils have now turned their attention to the impressive 21-year-old England international as he is expected to ably partner Smalling at the heart of United defense.

Luke Shaw has been completely ruled out of this season the injury sustained during their Champions League match against PSV. Should Stones join United, they would not have only secured Chelsea’s target, but they would have added depth to their thin centre of defense.

Daily Blind has been made to play at the heart of defense for United which isn’t his favourite position. Blind will be shifted to the left and Stones will play from the middle of defense.
