Jose Mourinho Hands In Transfer Wish List To Chelsea Hierarchy
What could be more difficult than becoming “Champions to Chumps” as described of Chelsea by celebrity Arsenal fan Pier Morgan. If he remains as the coach of Chelsea, Mourinho has been tipped to use the January transfer market to correct the failings in his squad buy signing players that would fire the club back to consistent winning ways.
Reports making the round in London reveal that the Special One has asked the board to sack certain players in January after handing a list of probable signing, per Standard Sport. The article stated that Mourinho has asked for another chance to be given to him to correct the anomaly in their transfer dealing of the summer.
It will be recalled that Chelsea failed to sign their summer transfer prime targets – despite offering three different bids; Everton rebuffed Chelsea’s approach for Stones. Pogba was also on Chelsea’s radar but their failed to sign the French midfielder.
Amongst Chelsea’s summer failing too was the purchase of Djilobodji who has reported agreed a deal away from Stamford Bridge. However, the signing of Pedro and Begovic has been relatively successful even though they are yet to live up to their biddings.
This January, Chelsea will attempt to sign John Stones, Marquinhos, Lacazette, Texeira. They are also looking to sign Greizmann and Grujic.
We hope to see a busy transfer market for Chelsea in the coming weeks.
