Jose Mourinho personally confirms Old Trafford job which will take place on June 5
Not quite the Old Trafford job Manchester United fans want him to take but it’s a start! Jose Mourinho has signed, officially, to manage England against the Rest of the World, who will be led by Claudio Ranieri. The charity exhibition match will be played in order to raise funds for charity organization Soccer Aid.
On June the 6th, the 2 sides will meet in a colossal encounter involving celebrities and legends in order to raise money for Soccer Aid which supports Unicef. Manchester United manager-in-waiting, Jose Mourinho, will be assisted by current Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce and singer Robbie Williams will be acting as coach.
Williams has been involved in all of the Soccer Aid mangers as one of the founders of the event. Mourinho has been involved in this event before, leading the Rest of the World team to victory in 2014. Now he wants victory in charge of England.
“I want to be the first one to win the Soccer Aid trophy for both teams, England and the Rest of the World. Sam and I will make a very good partnership and it will be a great feeling for Claudio to finally lose a match! I hope the organizers can help me now with an English passport!”
“Soccer Aid is a fantastic event, raising money for an amazing children’s charity in Unicef. For Soccer Aid’s 10th anniversary, it is a great honor that Robbie Williams has asked me to manage the Rest of the World XI and I’m looking forward to helping them defend their title.”
