Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez’s name has once again surfaced in links with Liverpool.
Reports in Spanish media are claiming that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in the star and plans to make a move for him in summer.
Spanish publication OkDiario claims that the Reds are willing to meet the forward’s £23m price tag after failing to sign him in the January transfer window.
The Merseysiders attempted to sign the player last month, but their approach was rebuffed as Real Madrid didn’t want to sell their player in the middle of the season.
Klopp recently admitted that he plans to add wingers to his squad and Jese’s ability to play on left flanks as well as centrally stands him in good stead.
The 22-year old has started only five league games for Los Blancos this season and with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema blocking his way to the starting eleven, it doesn’t look likely that he will be able to cement his spot in the starting eleven anytime soon.
He might be interested in a move to Anfield if he is promised regular first team football. He recently scored a goal in the Madrid’s 2-0 Champions League victory over AS Roma.
