Jurgen Klopp Reveals Christian Benteke Future at Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dismissed reports linking striker Christian Benteke with a move away from the club and has claimed that the Belgian has a long-term future with the Reds.

“You are too quick in your judgements,” said Klopp, when asked if the Belgian striker has a long-term future at Anfield. “If I worked like this I would send players who miss chances to the next club or whatever. Stay cool. Of course he has a future, that is not a question.”

Recent reports have speculated that Benteke doesn’t suit to the Klopp’s high pressing style and could be sold by the club in future.

He arrived in a £32.5 million deal from Aston Villa in the summer and was the club’s most expensive signing of the season.

However, he was left out of the starting eleven by Klopp in the games against Arsenal and Liverpool.
