Jurgen Klopp Reveals Transfer Plans for the Remaining 2 Days, Trying to Finalize Deal for Midfielder

Liverpool are interested in signing Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, according to reports. Daily Mirror claims that the Reds have registered an interest in the 21-year-old Polish international and are keen on tabling an offer worth £11m for his services.

Zielinski is currently playing for Empoli on loan and has attracted the attentions of several major European clubs.

Serie A clubs Juventus and Napoli are also reported to be keeping tabs on the midfielder.

The report also claims that Zielinski might be hesitant in a move ahead of the Euro Championships as he doesn’t want to risk his spot in the Polish national team for the tournament.

In that case, the Reds will be prepared to get their man in the summer. Manager Jurgen Klopp today accepted that the Reds can still bring new faces before the deadline day.

We are always busy, we are always at work, we always check the possibilities, and that’s what we did since I’m here,” he explained at Melwood.

“And now it’s close to the end of the window, and if something happens, we will see. There’s nothing to say in this moment. If we were close to something, anything I could say now would disturb this and if not, it’s the same situation.

“You have to wait, like I have to wait maybe. I’ve got no problem with this. I’m fine with the squad as everyone can see.

“The squad was never a problem – not for one second – it’s always been about injuries and the number of games, which doesn’t fit too good. That’s the reason why of course we thought about a few things, but only if it makes sense for us.”
