When New castle United let go of their out of favour playmaker Hartem Ben Arfa in January 2015, neither did Newcastle nor the player himself expect a sudden change and turnabout of events a year later.
While Hartem Ben Arfa’s form has taken a sudden change for the better one year on, the fortunes for Newcastle united have moved in the opposite direction leaving Newcastle United struggling to avoid being relegated. Should Newcastle United have let go of Hartem Ben Arfa? I don’t think so!
Hartem Ben Arfa’s form has been so phenomenal such that several top tier clubs have all made enquiries about his availability from his current club Nice. It is at this club, Nice, that Hartem Ben Arfa has rediscovered his fine form. Among the clubs following up on the former Newcastle playmaker’s availability is the Premier League club Liverpool FC.
Liverpool could even land the Frenchman as a free agent at the end the season given that the Frenchman’s contract with the French side Nice expires this summer.
Hartem Ben Arfa has scored 17 goals this season making other clubs such as Atletico and AC Milan table offers for the Frenchman. Liverpool are also said to have been impressed by the playmaker’s record this season and stand as favourites to land the Frenchman who has previous experience with the Premier League and as such would easily adapt to life at Anfield.
Whether Jurgen Klopp’s side will be lining up a Liverpool side inclusive of Hartem Ben Arfa remains to be seen at the end of the season.
