Juve Set To Allow Arturo Vidal Join Manchester United If…

Manchester United boss, Louis van Gaal, have reignited the fire of landing his ever-evasive fantasy, after failing to lure 27-year-old central midfielder, Arturo Vidal, to Old Trafford in the just concluded transfer window.

Vidal has been wanted by several clubs in the past but Juventus rejected several offers to keep their star. Van  Gaal’s pursuit of Vidal could pay off after the Italian club has been reported to allow the central defender go.

Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri has however made it clear that he will only agree to a deal if Manchester United’s Juan Mata is included as a part of the deal. Vidal is reported to have fallen out of grace with Juventus manager after being involved in a spat in the thrilling encounter with AS Roma.

Van Gaal would need to make up his mind in either keeping his man or agree and see the arrival of Vidal at the Old Trafford.

A Mata-Vidal swap will be of great benefit to Manchester United and Louis van Gaal – a fearsome midfield and a powerful attacking force could be the end result for United; a plus and a threat to oppositions.

Arturo Vidal is considered as one of the present best central midfielders in the world by football pundits and experts. The Chilean has been rated highly than fellow team-mate, Paul Pogba in the past and well adored by Italian fans and media, and well respected for his pace, strength and shot power.

Vidal is described to be Juventus’ crown jewel and with his amazing statistics, it appears only few central defenders can do what Vidal does best.

His versatility, tactical understanding and phenomenal physical ability puts him above Mata. Vidal made his name as a defensive footballer but evolved to becoming one of the best in his present role, putting his consideration his highly offensive a defensive ability.

Vidal’s presence at Manchester United would see him cover up for both attack and defence; a dual threat and a shield for Pirlo and Diaz, as seen in Juventus.

Often described as a box-to-box kind of player who matches strength and tenacity at defence down to attack; Vidal’s presence at Manchester United would see the likes of Di Maria move comfortably with the ball while Vidal shields him.

The presence of Angel  Di Maria, Ander Herrera and RadamelFalcao at United had cast doubt over the future of Mata before now and van Gaal who has spent over £150m during the transfer period understands that it would be a good deal to give up Mata in an attempt to sign the Chilean international.

Manchester United, particularly van Gaal understands that giving up Mata for the signature of Vidal is a wonderful idea, also considering the defensive dilemma of the team. Knowing that there is a play that can switch dynamically from offence to defence as vice-versa is a relief to every manager. Alternation is modern day football is very necessary. Van Gaal should see two distinct players in Vidal and not one.
