Juventus Manager Massimiliano Allegri to Takeover Chelsea in Summer? Manager Issues a Statement on Chelsea Job
Juventus man Massimiliano Allegri has flat out denied the rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea in the summer.
British tabloid The Sun ran an exclusive on Sunday claiming that Italian is interested in the job at Stamford Bridge and will be taking over from Guus Hiddink in the summer.
However, Allegri has rubbished those rumours and has insisted that he is currently focussed on the Sunday’s game against AS Roma and he intends to respect his contract which runs until 2017.
“I’m not thinking about the Chelsea rumours,” Allegri told the assembled media at Vinovo. “All of my thoughts are on Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
“My entire focus is on Juve and nothing else. I have a contract here until 2017 and I feel good and happy at this club. It is normal to be linked [with other jobs] because that is the case when you are at Juve but I’m only thinking about what needs to be done here.”
