Karim Benzema To Arsenal In January? Frenchman Speaks Up

As if referring to the Gunners team as ‘clowns’ wasn’t enough, French striker Karim Benzema has further delivered yet another blow to the Arsenal fans reaffirming his loyalty to his current club. The remaining Arsenal fans who still had tiny bits of hope about a potential move for Benzema have had their hopes dashed and the same could be said for Manchester United supporters.

The 27 year old was heavily touted by both Arsenal and Manchester United in this just concluded transfer window and has successfully put to bed any possibility of a potential move away from Real Madrid. In an interview with French Tv show Telefoot, He said “There was nothing in the talk of a transfer away from Madrid. I’m happy at my current club, it’s the best in the world. I’ll continue to work here and be happy where I am.”

Since arriving at Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, the 27 year old has gone on to become one of the most lethal finishers in the world. The French striker netted 15 goals and notched 10 assists in 29 league starts last season. He was unfortunate to miss out of Real Madrid’s pre-season and opening game against Sporting Gijon due to a thigh injury but the 27 year old marked his return to the Madrid side with a goal in their 5-0 triumph over Real Betis last month.

Undeniably, the amount of quality Benzema would have added to either of Arsenal or Mancheser United would have been immense. Nevertheless, both Premier League would have to turn their sights to other available options to solve their attacking problems.
