Latest Arsenal Injury News Update

England international and Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere has been missing in action since the beginning of the season, but could join his teammates for the second half of the season in January as his injury could have healed up completely and he would have attained full fitness by then. The last that was heard of Jack was his fine by the F.A following his anti-Tottenham chants when the Gunners lifted the F.A Cup in August with a defeat over bitter rivals, Chelsea. But he is now in the news for all the good reasons and can’t wait to hand the team an injury boost.

The young midfielder was for the first time, part of the Gunners’ pre season campaign before picking up a knock on his legs following a hard tackle from Gabriel Paulista during training prior to the Community Shield game against Chelsea. He underwent an operation over 5 weeks ago, and it will take at least another 6 to 8 weeks before he is fit to return.

Wilshere has revealed that he is feeling better as he is now off the crutches and able to move around with ease at the moment, but he didn’t disclose if he is set to return before the schedule date as he has often gotten back after it most times when he was sidelined via injury.

His domineering style of play in training and on the pitch has made him prone to deadly tackles most of the times, yet the skillful player rules out a stop to his style, and says he will continue with it as it is what makes him who he is. But he believes calming things down a bit in training could come handy despite Wenger’s insistence on “you’ve got to train as you play”. With the competitions across the home and continental fronts bound to get tougher, the coach will be looking forward to having him back for selection so as to rotate the team.
