Latest Injury Update – Alexis Sanchez May Play Against Stoke Next Saturday, Rosicky Back
Arsenal are waiting for their injured players to return which will definitely strengthen their hold on the league race. Gunners captain, Mikel Arteta has already made a return when he came on as a substitute against Sunderland last weekend.
England internationals Jack Wilshere, and Danny Welbeck won’t return until the end of February, while Alexis Sanchez might have a chance to make an appearance against Stoke next Saturday. Tomas Rosicky is back in full training and is ready for tomorrow’s clash against Liverpool.
The FA Cup fixture allowed Wenger to rest his key players, Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker. Instead, Kieran Gibbs got a chance to play and Joel Campbell was also in the line-up. Defenders Calum Chambers and Gabriel Paulista, both made an appearance. However, it was Hector Bellerin who stole the show.
Gunners will aim to earn a double as they also hold high chances of winning the Premier League and aim for the FA Cup for a consecutive third time. Although Arsenal is also in contention in the Champions League but their chances look slim.
