Latest Update in Benzema Transfer, Arsenal Placing a Bid on Him

Arsenal are back in contention for Real Madrid’s controversial striker Karim Benzema. Fichajes reports that the Gunners are planning to place a bid for the Frenchman as the La Liga club are already planning for life without him, following his involvement in the Mathieu Valbuena’s sex tape scandal.

The off-field controversies have not dithered the Gunners in their pursuit of the Frenchman, and they are now in pole position to sign the striker. Manager Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of his compatriot and according to the report, he will be the top target for the Gunners in the January transfer window.

Move for Porto star looks likely

The rumours linking the North London club to Porto’s talented midfielder Ruben Neves are gaining momentum every day now. We previously reported that Gunners are interested in the 18-year-old and recently sent their scout to watch the player.

According to the latest reports, the Gunners’ interest in the player is genuine, and they have been constantly monitoring the player.  Portuguese football expert Jan Hagen today tweeted that the North London club have sent their scouts to Porto’s previous four games. According to Hagen, an Arsenal scout was present at Estadio do Dragao last night as Neves put in an MOTM performance in Porto’s 2-1 win over Pacos.

This rumour seems to be gaining legs, and we will continue to keep an eye on it as the story develops. If this one materializes, one could say this would be typical Wenger signing.

Talented midfielder issues come-and-get-me plea

In another news, Arsenal target Adrien Rabiot has issued a come-and-get-me plea to the club as he publicly requested a loan move from his club PSG. The Gunners are tracking the 20-year-old for quite some time now, and this news would be sweet music to the ears of Arsene Wenger.
