Liverpool Given Go Ahead To Sign La Liga Star After £22m Bid Is Made

Real Madrid are considering letting their on-loan winger, Denis Cheryshev join Liverpool in a £22 million transfer as the Anfield club submits bid.

The Daily Star are reporting that Brendan Rodgers want to bring in Cheryshev to replace Raheem Sterling who, as per reports yesterday, is on his way to Manchester City for a £49million.

The Englishman has been dropped off Liverpool’s tour of the Far East and Australia in order to finalise his move to the Etihad.

Meanwhile, Los Blancos are now considering whether to accept Liverpool’s offer for the 24-year old Cheryshev or decline it. However, Metro say the £22 million bid should be enough to tempt the Spanish giants into selling to Liverpool.

The promising winger has spent the last two years on loan at Sevilla and Villareal and has clearly done enough to convince  Rodgers he is the right man to replace Sterling (Daily Star).

The same source understands Jordan Ibe may be shipped out on loan, should Liverpool succeed in landing the Russian, who is not thought to be part of Rafael Benitez’ plans next season.

Cheryshev was part of the Sevilla team that won the Europa League in 2013-14. He made 39 appearances for Villareal last season, scoring seven goals and assisting ten.

Meanwhile, Madrid have ended their 25-year relationship with goalkeeper, Iker Casillas. The Spanish shot stopper has joined Porto on a 2-year contract and was full of tears during his final press conference as a Madrid player.
