Liverpool launch £12m offer to sign star, player confirmed talks with Klopp

Liverpool have reportedly tabled an offer of approximately  £11.9 million for Piotr Zielinski in the summer transfer window. Piotr Sebastian Zieliński is a Polish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Empoli on loan from Udinese.

It is reported that the club have been in contact with the player with an attempt to finalise a deal. It doesn’t end there, the Polish spoke of his admiration for Liverpool Philippe Coutinho. The 21-year-old is clearly keen to join the Merseyside. Deservedly so as he  is a talented midfielder and the statistics speak for themselves.

The Polish international has bagged 4 goals and provided 4 assists for Empoli this season in 31 appearances . Zieliński holds an average of 45.7 passes per game and receives 81.2 of them successfully. He contributes  1.5 key passes per game with an average of 1.5 long balls per game.

He completes 2.6 dribbles per game and gets fouled 0.9 times per game. He is defensively aware as he has 2.2 tackles per game and 1.5 interceptions. A versatile midfielder capable in both attack and defence – exactly what is needed in the modern game.  He keeps possession well and he is a pacey player.

Should Zielinski join Liverpool, surely he will be an improvement to Joe Allen, who has been linked with a move away from Liverpool. He will get his chance to link up with Philippe Coutinho.  He is a player not short on skill. He enjoys dribbling and opening up spaces for his teammates. Above all Zielinski has good distribution and vision.  With his ability to dribble and run down defenders and delivering good balls, sounds good. Should his  development continue, he will be a dangerous central midfielder for Liverpool.
