Liverpool On The VERGE Of Signing 20 Goals 6 Assists Attacker – Not Firminho

There were reports earlier in the summer that Liverpool were planning to sign Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco, undeterred by the poor performances the striker gave week-in, week-out while spending the last season on loan at Manchester United. However, new reports have emerged linking Liverpool with another Colombian striker Carlos Bacca, who is also a target for rivals Chelsea and Arsenal.

It is believed that the Reds have trumped Chelsea’s interest and are close to agreeing a deal with Bacca’s current club Sevilla for the transfer of the star striker for a fee reported to be around £21 million.

Bacca was the Europa League top scorer last season and guided Sevilla to their second consecutive Europa League triumph. He is an effective poacher in the mold of one the Reds have lacked ever since Luis Suarez departed for Barcelona.

The player is currently on international duty in the Copa America and it is believed that he will make a concrete decision once he returns. What appears at the moment though, is that Liverpool have stolen a march on their rivals for his signature.

With the signing of exciting Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino announced earlier today, Liverpool fans will be waiting anxiously to see how this story develops.
