Liverpool On The VERGE Of Signing Arsenal Target, Perfect Gerrard Replacement
Two big English clubs, Liverpool and Man City, are set to slug it out for the signature of Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko as the transfer window gradually draws to a close, according to the Metro.
The Frenchman is increasingly more likely to leave Newcastle this summer, as he hopes to team up with one of the top four clubs, with Liverpool and Man City set to launch a bid for his signature.
The midfielder, who was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates last January, is set to be a centre of a tussle between the two English clubs as the race for the English Premier League title is set to take centre stage from this weekend.
The Reds are desperately in need of a hard-tackling midfielder in the mould of Sissoko. Man City on the other hand, are not in desperate need of a player of calibre due to the presence of Yaya Toure.
The odds on Liverpool signing the French international has also been significantly dropped in the last couple of days, and it seems the player could be heading to Anfield before the window closes.
Reds have heard a massive transfer window these couple of weeks; but are now set to continue in their bid to booster their squad against next season. The club has already splashed the cash on Danny Ings, Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino, James Milner, and Nathaniel Clyne.
It seems there is no letting go as the club is set to add the hardworking midfielder to its rank in order to boost its squad towards the start of next season.
