Liverpool’s target Ivan Perisic will cost them in excess of €30million, if he is to come to the Anfield, according to Sportmediaset. Jurgen Klopp continues to consider transferring his former players to Liverpool, and the 27-year old is one of the many former Borussia Dortmund’s players who may re-unite with their former coach this summer.
The Croatian international currently plays for Inter Milan and his performance in the clubs he has played for has led to his increase in value.
His contract with Inter Milan expires on 30th June 2020, but with Liverpool ready to make a bid for the left winger, he may find himself playing in the BPL in the coming season.
Before joining Inter Milan, Ivan played for VfL Wolfsburg, where he was quite successful, scoring 18 goals in 70 appearances. His performance this season also deserves plaudits, having scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 35 appearances for the Serie A outfit.
His best position is the left side of the midfield but he can take other positions behind the striker whenever he is required to do so. He is a very versatile player and he is always lethal going forward.
Ivan’s performance aside, the thing that is raising eyebrows is his transfer value. Less than a year ago, his transfer fee from VfL Wolfsburg to Inter Milan was €16m. Now, Liverpool are set to make a bid worth €30million for the player. His fast appreciation in value can be attributed to his strength and versatility.
