Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool ready to spend $21.6 million for Serie A defender Antonio Rudiger

Liverpool has seen better days, especially on the defensive end. They haven’t had a consistent season since the days of Rafael Benitez, so it’s no surprise they are gearing up for next campaign.

Liverpool’s current boss, Jurgen Klopp, has already started making moves to reinforce his shaky back line. The first move was securing Joel Matip’s services for next season (with no transfer fee) and now he is aiming to reel in Antonio Rudiger from Stuttgart.

The 23-year-old Rudiger is currently loaned out to AS Roma, where he has put up impressive numbers for the Giallorossi. The German international has been featured in 36 games this season and has scored a total of 2 goals.

However, his main contribution has been on the defensive end, as Luciano Spalletti has praised the young German star for his “exceptional” performance.

Rudiger’s performance has not gone unnoticed in the world of football, and Klopp believes he will be a great fit for The Reds. According Football Italia, a deal has been agreed on between Liverpool and Stuttgart.
It will send Antonio Rudiger to the Liverpool back line for a $21.6 million transfer fee. Not only is Rudiger a great center back, but can also play right back and help out in both attack and defense.
