Liverpool Set To HIJACK Man United Move For 13 Goals 13 Assists Attacker

One of the most difficult things to do right during the transfer window is to guess which club would sign a particular player. Two seasons ago, Spurs were on the verge of signing Brazilian international, Willian before Chelsea played a fast one and ended up signing the midfielder. One only hopes Manchester United fans won’t suffer a similar fate as reports have emerged that Liverpool have joined the race to sign Hoffenheim’s Brazilian attacker Roberto Firmino.

Recent reports have tipped the Brazilian to join the Red Devils; but Globoesporte, a mega Brazilian Portal has revealed that the race to sign Firmino is now between a couple of EPL teams.

Manchester United could well face competition from local rivals Manchester City, whilst Marcelo Hazan and Richard Souza report from Chile, where Firmino is playing in the Copa America, that Liverpool have “strongly” entered the race.

Another club that has been linked with the signing of the Brazilian international is Manchester City; United’s bitter rivals. This could lead to a bidding war, which may not be in United’s favour. While United may not be too bothered with reports linking the player with a move to the Kops, the same cannot be said of City, with all the Petro dollars available for the former EPL Champions to splash this window.

Globoesporte, however, adds that the 23-year old, who is currently with the Brazilian national team in the Copa America, is not in a hurry to disclose his preferred destination until the competition ends.
