Barcelona have rejected a £10 million bid from Liverpool for their German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, according to reports.
The Independent claims that the Catalan club values their player at £20 million and has informed Liverpool that they would need to double their offer to sign the 23-year old.
Ter Stegen has fallen behind Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo at Nou Camp and has been restricted to appearances in Champions League and Copa Del Rey games.
He has made only four league appearances this season. As a result, the player has become disgruntled at the lack of playing opportunities at the club and is looking for a transfer move.
Liverpool recently extended Simon Mignolet’s contract by five years, but Jurgen Klopp wants to sign his compatriot Ter Stegen to provide competition to the Belgian.
