Liverpool to Sign Star Player from Juventus as Bid Already Placed and Juve Agrees to Sell the Player

Liverpool have been linked with Juventus center-half Martin Caceres in January or this coming summer as manager  Jürgen Klopp seeks to improve his squad.

Klopp who has recently moved in to temporarily solve his defensive worries by signing Steven Caulker on loan deal from QPR, will be looking forward to bring the Uruguayan at Anfield before the end of the transfer window to bolster his injury-hit defense.

The 28-year-old has recently proven himself as a strong and capable defender in Italy but has seen his career troubled by injuries, with recent statistics showing that he has played more games for Uruguay that Juventus this season.

The defender has made just four appearances in all competitions for the Juventus this term after being suspended for an alleged drink-driving incident in September last year.

Besides, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool are currently facing a stiff completion from Roma, who are equal determined to sign the defender. Gazzetta claims that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has met with the defender’s representatives to open talks over a deal for a possible move.

The Uruguayan’s contact at Juventus expires at the end of the season and is now free to negotiate a pre-agreement elsewhere. Both managers, Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp and Roma’s Rudi Garcia are keen to bolster their defenses.
