Liverpool To Truly Replace Suarez By Signing £150,000-A-Week Star

Liverpool spent quite a lot this summer and brought in Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Divock Origi to join Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling in the attack. This came after the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona for £75 million. Liverpool however has a record transfer of £35 million spent in 2011 for club flop Andy Carroll from Newcastle United and will hope to break that record by signing Karim Benzema from Real Madrid. According to reports, Liverpool are ready to test Real Madrid’s resolve to keep the Frenchman with a bid in the region of 40 million pounds. Should the deal be successful, Luis Suarez would have been to some extent replaced  ( only Falcao can truly replace the Urguayan). Suarez is in my opinion not yet replaced at Anfield and replacing the Uruguayan will be the most difficult task for Brendan Rodgers.

Mario Balotelli was meant to be the perfect replacement for the former Liverpool striker but the Italian has shown he is far from Suarez’s level as he has only scored one goal since he arrived in Liverpool. Depite claims by some that he was a bargain buy for the Reds, Balotelli have shown little to savour in his early days in Anfield and a move for a top rated striker might just do the magic for Liverpool. The Reds will have to fight for a place this season for the champions’ league spot with Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United with outsiders in Tottenham and Everton also present.

Karim  Benzema in my opinion is not a striker worthy to be wearing Real Madrid’s jersey. He is average at best and has never been consistent with his performances. He can’t be placed on the same level with Raul Gonzalez, Ronaldo De Lima or even Ruud Van Nistelrooy. I am of the opinion that the pressure in Real Madrid may have been too much for Benzema and the player is struggling to take to the stage in the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez. However the quality of Karim Benzema can’t be ignored. He is a good holding striker who can bring others into play and his ability to be shifted to the flanks can also add to the team as a whole. Benzema’s physical presence, skills and box presence are also added advantages to any team.

The Frenchman can do well with another club that is not Madrid. Liverpool signing him will bring a lot of boost to the team and the fan base as well. He will be a massive upgrade to what we currently have at the club. Definitely better than Balotelli and doesn’t come with the extra baggage which the Ghanian/Italian comes with.

Real Madrid may have seen the arrival of Chicharito on loan from Manchester United but it will prove difficult to lure Benzema away from them with top strikers  looking scarce in recent world of football. Karim Benzema is still the first choice striker in Real Madrid and £40 million will be a good way to test their resolve but it might not just be enough to force Real Madrid in selling.

Definitely it will be a good deal for Benzema to switch to Anfield. With less pressure and more chance to play without been overshadowed by many, the striker may consider a move to England. Although he will want a good wage package but Liverpool will have to bring in someone of his stature to prove a point. A good deal it should be for both Liverpool and Benzema if done but he is still not at the level to replace Luis Suarez in Liverpool.
