Liverpool Will “Definitely” Sign 5ft 9in Englishman, Will Annoyed United Fans
According to Times’ Football editor Tony Evans, Liverpool will be signing Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton this summer. According to the journalist, Liverpool are keen on signing the former Chelsea player but Liverpool will have to pay Southampton’s asking price to push through a deal.
The right back who has also been linked to Manchester, Tottenham and Chelsea came through the ranks at Palace’s academy before joining Chelsea and then Southampton as a result of not getting regular playing time with Chelsea, he has since gone on to make the right-back berth at St Mary’s his own right such culminating in his first England cap last year.
He also has gone ahead to make seven appearances for English team, with the latest coming in the Euro 2016 qualifier, although he cut a frustrated figure after being overlooked in the first-team for United’s Phil Jones and only came on with minutes to go, this has proved that he’s the best thing Liverpool football club needs.
Brendan Rodgers cannot afford to sluggishly let this slip off his hands as the club fans are eager to see him cut off the loss of glen Johnson who has seen out his contract and thus left. There’s therefore the need for a paramount replacement in the right-back position.
