Louis Van Gaal high rated striker will be at Old Trafford in January

With the lackluster performance of Manchester United forwards in front of goal since the beginning of the season, Manchester United Manager, Louis Van Gaal is ready to recall James Wilson from Brighton and Hove Albion where he is currently playing on loan. The forward, who scored 2 goals from 3 appearances for the Championship team, has been identified by the Dutchman as one of the players that could help his team find the shooting boots back.

It should be remembered that Louis Van Gaal sold Robin Van Persie, Radamel Falcao, Javier Hernandez and Angel di Maria but replaced them with only Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay.

Martial, who scored 3 goals in his first 2 games for Manchester United, has failed to score in his last 9 English Premier League games. The other striker, Wayne Rooney, has only scored twice in 12 EPL games this season. These misfiring strikers have contributed immensely to the failure of Manchester United to score goals this season.

Though Wilson’s loan deal is meant to be till the end of the season, there is a clause in the deal that allows Manchester United to recall him midway through the season. Brighton and Hove Albion manager admitted that his could lose the forward soon as his parent club are considering getting him back. Brighton and Hove Albion have not lost a league game this season and they sit second on the Championship table with the same point as leader, Middleborough, but with lesser goal difference.
