Louis Van Gaal HINTS At Sergio Ramos Signing

Louis van Gaal has commented on reports suggesting that Madrid superstar Sergio Ramos will be joining Manchester United this summer according to Manchester Evening News. Ramos has long been linked with a transfer to United this summer. There has been media speculation in recent weeks that the Spanish International, who has two years left on his Real contract, could join United as part of a swap deal, with fellow Spanish International team-mate David De Gea, going the other way.

Sky Sports have previously reported that the defender has informed Madrid of his desire to join Manchester United. When asked about Ramos at a news conference on the club’s North American tour, Louis Van Gaal said “I have said in a lot of press conference that it’s a process,” added the Dutchman. “Maybe Mr Ramos is in the process….you never know.”

United have turned their attention to Ramos amid talks that he’s struggling to come to terms on contract extension at Madrid. And After Reports has it that the Red Devils have offered him a £165,000-a-week contract to join them.  AS News, meanwhile also claimed Ramos has already agreed personal terms worth £55 million Euros with United.

Ramos had an excellent season with Madrid, the Centre-back won 47% of his tackles in La Liga, while he also won 61% of his headed duels for Los Blancos. The 29-year-old also made seven defensive actions per game; only bettered by Raphael Varane (8). Ramos scored four goals and completed 89% of his passes in the league.
